A photo exhibition “Etai” is currently being held at the gallery cafe “Fuyumedo” in Goshogawara.

The first solo exhibition by Numari, a photographer living in Ajigasawa. From the tens of thousands of photographs taken over the past three years, about 50 landscape photographs of the west coast, including Shichirinagahama, will be on display.

Numari is a company employee who posts the photos she takes on social media. It is said that he started to visit the local beach on his way home from work and on holidays due to the corona disaster, which was the reason for photographing the sea. “It became difficult for me to go out, and I started to feel stuck taking photos in the city, so I started going to the overwhelmed local beach,” Numari said.

For Numari, taking landscape photos has become a time of peace for herself. “I chose the photographs to exhibit while confronting my own ignorance of ``what do I want to do?'' and ``why did I want to photograph?'' After a long battle, we came to this exhibition."

The photographs to be exhibited will not be framed and will be placed directly on the wall. "There were too many pictures, so I used the blank space on the wall rather than preparing a frame," says Numari. "I'm glad that this exhibition has given rise to new encounters and people who have not met in several years," he said with a smile. Numari will be in the gallery on April 15th and 16th.
