A digital art exhibition "UNIVER ZOO" is currently being held at the multipurpose hall of the Hirosaki City Tourist Center (Shimo-Shiroganecho, Hirosaki City).

This exhibition uses digital technology to express a "zoo in the universe". Seven kinds of digital attractions will be exhibited, such as animals with colors and designs that you draw moving on a screen with a total width of 18 meters and a height of 3 meters, and "Jupiter Jellyfish" reacting to graffiti drawn on the wall.

The organizer is Kaoru Kasai, the representative of "Hero Forward". Mr. Kasai is a digital creator living in Hirosaki who worked on large snow image projection mapping and flower art projection mapping at the Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival and the Hirosaki Castle Chrysanthemum and Autumn Leaves Festival. "Hero Forward" is a creator group living in Hirosaki, and the group name is a coined word after "Hirosaki".

According to Mr. Kasai, at the venue, explanations of the exhibited works are omitted, and the production is directed to explore the universe by fumbling around. "I want you to ask me anything you don't understand, but first I want you to try it yourself and try what you notice, and find the fun," says Mr. Kasai. Mr. Kasai will be in the gallery during the period.

A woman in her 20s living in Hirosaki who visited the exhibition said, "I heard that you can experience digital art in Hirosaki, so I was looking forward to it. The animals I drew move in front of me, and they move according to my movements. I was able to enjoy space animals more than I imagined," he said with a smile.

The event is held from 10:00 to 20:00. The entrance fee is 1,200 yen for adults, 800 yen for elementary school students and younger, and 500 yen for infants. Until April 30th.
