Kazamaura Village is a fishing village located in the northern part of the Shimokita Peninsula, and is home to the Shimofuro hot spring village. Shimofuro hot spring village is said to have started in the Muromachi period. The video was released on YouTube in October 2022.

In the background of the production, there was a decrease in tourists due to the heavy rain disaster that occurred in August 2021 and the corona wreck. It is said that it started when the Okami no Kai” planned to write a song while looking back on their own experiences.

According to Tsubasa Shimoda, who worked as a video producer, about five years ago, he began to help disseminate information about Shimofuro Onsenkyo, and it was two years ago that he heard that there was a "Shimofuro Kouta." Mr. Shimoda said, "I was suddenly told the story of Kouta, and I thought that I could leave something that had only been passed down by word of mouth. ” he recalls.

The Japan International Tourism Video Festival is a tourism video festival that started in 2019. In addition to the Grand Prix, it won the Best Tourism Documentary Award and the Sawamura Award in the Special Category.

Shimoda said, "It's an honor to be selected for three categories, including the Grand Prix. It started as a reconstruction song, but I hope it will become a theme song to increase local Bon Odori songs and Shimofuro fans."
