    A month has passed since Aomori's Kanagi Tourist Information Center "Sanchoku Meros" (Goshogawara City, TEL 0173-54-1155 ) started selling "Umamiso Ramen".

    The same menu was developed as a new tourist attraction at "Sanchoku Meros", which opened in April last year. Kaneki horse meat is placed on miso ramen. According to Nobuhito Shibuya, the person in charge of the "Meros Shokudo" department, the horse meat is simmered for six hours so that the texture remains, and the soup is based on local miso and garlic. Locally grown vegetables are also used.

    Since the start of sales, the number of local customers has increased, and orders from tourists are also increasing due to its rarity. Until March 31st, it will be sold at a special price of 800 yen, which means "I want you to eat it" in Tsugaru language.

    Mr. Shibuya says, "I wanted to make this dish more appealing to Kanagi, a place where horse meat is produced. I don't think there are many opportunities to eat horse meat itself, so I hope it will give people an opportunity to eat it."

    Meros Shokudo is open from 11:00 to 15:00.
