From September 1st, the "Neko Exhibition" is being held at the art gallery & cafe "ki to ao" in Hirosaki City (TEL 0172-38-7280, Ekimaecho, Hirosaki City).

This exhibition features more than 70 illustrations of cats drawn by painter moyu who works in Hirosaki city. Mr. moyu, who had held a solo exhibition at the Hyakusekicho Exhibition Hall (Hyakusekicho) in Hirosaki City, said that he wanted to exhibit his work here since the cafe opened in September last year.

“I drew more than 100 points for this cat exhibition over a year,” says moyu. "I specialize in oil painting, but this time I used watercolor paints and pens to match the atmosphere of the store. I had a hard time getting used to it," he said. Manager Rika Sato of the cafe said, “We had many meetings from a year ago and it was realized. It was the most difficult to decide the image of the exhibition. There were things to say moyu strictly,” moyu said. Laugh at each other.

We also devised the exhibition method such as arranging the work so that it looks like a cat when viewed from a distance. Among the exhibits, it is said that there are also works with a mechanism such as "There are only four at a glance, but if you look closely, there are five".
