On July 20, the "Temple Jazz in Senjuin" by the band "Blue Moon Quartet" was held in Hirosaki City's Senjuin (Shinmachi, Hirosaki).

Live performed in the main hall of the temple. The band, which consists of four guitarists and leader Hiroyuki Tominaga of the former "Ban Ban Bazar," led by Hiroyuki Huang, Sei Kudo and Junji Kimura, started last year. “It was triggered by Mr. Kudo from Hirosaki University,” said Ryudai Murai, a priest. Mr. Kudo laughs, "I was suspicious when I first contacted him by phone, but I was blown away by the members that Hirosaki could play."

The live, which started at 6pm, consisted of two parts. At the beginning, Mr. Tominaga said, "Don't drink during the live is like ordering water at an izakaya", and Mr. Kudo said, "Hirosaki University dropped out, so my final education is high school." Revealed a laugh at the venue.

After the live, a launch was held at the temple together with the band members, and visitors who were drunk by the performance participated. Among the participants, there was a member of Hirosaki University Jazz Study Group, who is a junior of Mr. Kudo, and I enjoyed interacting with the "big seniors."

In the future, the band will hold a summer tour titled "Summer and You and Blue Moon", and will perform live at 30 locations throughout Japan by September.
