On July 3rd, "Tyrannosaurus Race Asamushi" was held at Sunset Beach Asamushi (Asamushi, Aomori City).

The Tyrannosaurus race is a race in which you wear an inflatable dinosaur costume and run through it. It was held in Tottori in April of this year and attracted national attention. First held in Aomori prefecture.

The members of the sponsored Tyrannosaurus Race Asamushi Executive Committee are Emi Kasai, who grew up in Hachinohe, Sachiko Kumagai, who is from Asamushi, and Shiori Narita, who runs a cafe in Asamushi. We planned this event as an opportunity for visitors to visit Asamushi and learn about its charms.

The race consists of 3 divisions for juvenile animals (3 to 6 years old, 1st to 3rd graders, 4th to 6th graders) and 4 divisions for adults (young males, young females, senior males, senior females). Divided into two, about 130 "Tyrannosaurus" participated. The race runs on a course set on a sandy beach. The audience laughed and applauded the humorous expressions of the costumes.

Sora Kodate, who took first place in the 3-6 year old category for puppies who participated in the race, said with a smile, "It was hot, but it was fun to run." He shared the joy of winning first place with his family. Ms. Minako Yasuda, who won first place in the adult category "senior female", breathed, "I was completely determined to win first place. Since the prize of 4.3 kilograms of meat was at stake, I ran while thinking, meat, meat, meat." He was smiling even though he was out of work.

Saki Miyako, 3rd place in the adult category "Young Female", said, "It was more difficult to run than I thought. I could see the surroundings, but there were no runners in front of me. I was overtaken by. It was frustrating, so I want to get revenge again," he said with a smile.

Mr. Kasai said, "There were many people who wanted to hold the event again next year, so I definitely want to do it again next year."
