    On July 28th, the "Jawamegu, Nebuta Exhibition" with the theme of the Aomori Nebuta Festival began at miageru.

    Six craft artists based in Aomori will exhibit and sell pottery and accessories that express the Aomori Nebuta Festival.

    "Jawamegu" is a Tsugaru dialect that means "my blood makes a stir" or "I get tingled". Aomori citizens say, "It's time for Nebuta."

    The store regularly holds special exhibitions with specific themes. This year, the Aomori Nebuta festival will be held for the first time in three years, so I planned it. The owner, Yoko Kanehara, said, ``I have worked with six artists for many years, so they kindly agreed to accept me again this time. I'm very excited to receive them. I hope the artists will enjoy their Nebuta," he said with a smile.

    Works include pottery accessories from ``Kuri no Komichi Kiln'', traditional Nanbu Sakiori accessories from ``Sakiori CHICKA'', chopstick rests and goldfish Nebuta plates from ``Fujiwara Pottery'', and glass accessories from ``ripples'' (Aomori City). , Nebuta mug cups from Nongama (Itayanagi Town), and linen clothes from "coton" (Tsugaru City). Original limited items for the exhibition will also be available.

    Regarding the Aomori Nebuta Festival, Mr. Kanehara says, "I love the amazing and crazy people of Aomori who devote their time, effort and passion to something that will burn in just seven days." He also said, "I want you to visit the 'Jawamegu Nebuta Exhibition' along with the Nebuta Festival after a long absence."
