On July 16th, sales of "Jute bag with Asamushi badge" began at the Yusa market parking lot of Michi-no-Eki Yusa Asamushi (Asamushi, Aomori City).

Original goods with a firefly design badge attached to a jute (hemp material) bag. The concept of the bag is "Asamushi". In the Heian period, the heat of Asamushi Onsen was used to steam hemp for weaving cloth, so jute was chosen for the bag. The badge is inspired by the fireflies that live in Lake Firefly (Asamushi Dam) and glows in the dark.

Developed by "Plants Planet", which manufactures and sells products that make use of the charm of Aomori's plants, and "Asamushi Town Revitalization Support Group Gacchanko", which disseminates the charm of the local area. We teamed up with a desire to make the bath utensil holder made of eco-friendly materials take root in the town of hot springs.

Ms. Yoshiko Sakai, the representative of Plants Planet, started growing hermanus and cassis in a field on the shores of Lake Hotaru (Asamushi Dam) in Asamushi Town from April this year, thanks to her connection with the "Asamushi Town Revitalization Support Group Gacchanko." . Sakai recalls, ``One night when I was thinking about how we could do something together, I came up with the idea of attaching a firefly badge to a linen bag.'' "The flashes of light at night were like firefly lights," he said.

Akashi Inoue, representative of the “Asamushi Town Revitalization Support Group Gacchanko,” said, “Many bath utensils are made of plastic, but jute is a natural material that dries easily even if it gets wet. I wish I could send it out," he shows his willingness. Mr. Sakai said, "I would be happy if more people went to the hot springs with a bag with a badge," and smiled as he wanted to liven up Asamushi.

The price is 500 yen. 2 types of Asamushi badges, 200 yen each. It will be sold only at the “Asamushi End of the Month Marche” held at the end of every month.
