Akafuku mochi is a specialty of Ise, and until 2018, the Nakasan Hirosaki store sold it at the product exhibition that was held every year on the 6th floor. Takahiko Higuchi of the store's sales promotion and advertising department said, ``According to my predecessor, it seems that sales began at least 25 years ago, but there are no records left. In November last year, he sold Akafuku mochi for the first time in three and a half years. According to the person in charge of Akafuku (Mie Prefecture), they usually sell only at the product exhibition, but they decided to sell it as a special sale at the Nakami Hirosaki store. In Aomori Prefecture, Akafuku Mochi is currently sold only at the Nakasan Hirosaki store.

On the 23rd, the first day, the 400 pieces prepared were sold out in 30 minutes. Mr. Higuchi said, "Akafuku Mochi is delivered by air from Mie every day. It was one of the projects that many customers were looking forward to. The Nakasan Hirosaki store celebrated its 60th anniversary. I would like to continue to do so,” he said.

Akafuku mochi will be on sale from 10:00 during the period. Numbered tickets for sales on the day will be distributed at the entrance of the underground Ochimachi. Akafuku mochi (1,200 yen) with 12 pieces, white mochi black mochi (8 pieces = 1,000 yen), Akafuku zenzai (600 yen). Limited quantity each day, 25th = 280, 26th = 480, 27th = 360.
