    On December 4th, the music live “HEATWAVE TOUR 2022 “over the thousand days”” will be held at the live house “KEEP THE BEAT” (Dotemachi, Hirosaki City).

    The rock band "Heat Wave", which was formed mainly by guitarist and vocalist Hiroshi Yamaguchi, will hold this live in Hirosaki for the first time in 15 years since 2007 (Heisei 19). Yamaguchi's nationwide tour with a band will be the first in three years, with a total of six performances in five cities including Hirosaki, Tokyo and Kyoto.

    Hiroshi Saito, owner of Asylum and Joypops, who planned the Hirosaki event, said, "I spent several years planning to make good band music heard by the people and young people of Hirosaki and Aomori."

    The relationship between Mr. Saito and Mr. Yamaguchi dates back to 1990 (Heisei 2). Mr. Saito, who went to Sendai to see Heatwave, who had just made their major debut, recalls, "I felt that there was a dangerous band." Deep exchanges began in November 2004 (Heisei 16). Mr. Yamaguchi participated in the Hirosaki live, and the two met again.

    Yamaguchi said, ``I had never played in a snowy land like Hirosaki since I was raised in a tropical country, so I doubted that the audience would really come, but I still remember how moved I was when people started to gather. there is,” he says. He met Saito-san again in Hirosaki and hit it off, leading to the 2007 (Heisei 19) live performance of Heat Wave.

    After that, Mr. Yamaguchi began to visit Hirosaki almost every year. Immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, he performed at the chapel of Hirosaki Gakuin University, and also visited Hirosaki for other occasions, such as watching the Hirosaki Sakura Festival and the Hirosaki Neputa Festival with Saito. rice field. During the live performance, the venue was sometimes heated with the nickname "W Hiroshi".

    About Hirosaki, Mr. Yamaguchi said, "I like how they love the city they live in. The richness of the four seasons, the passion for Neputa, and other aspects of the culture nurtured because of the land. there is,” he says.
