"Apple Headphones Apple Phone" will be unveiled at the "Apple Harvest Festival" held on November 5th and 6th at Hirosaki Apple Park (Shimizu, Hirosaki City). The project is the Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Museum.

What will be presented is an experiential sound installation in which you can hear the sound when you put your ear to an apple, a specialty of Aomori. Produced by sound artist Koji Seto. Using the same mechanism as bone conduction earphones, the sound generated using the bioelectric potential of apples is sent to the apple tree.

According to Seto, the sound travels through the entire tree, so you can hear it not only from the apple fruit, but also from the leaves, branches, and trunk. Mr. Seto says with a smile, "You can hear it best when you hug the trunk. You should be able to hear it from the roots as well." On both days, the apple tree in front of Hirosaki Cider Studio kimori in Hirosaki City Apple Park will be used to actually experience the program.

Mr. Seto explained, "This is the first time that an 'Apple Phone' using apples has been released to the general public in Aomori." The sound-generating program uses the same musical scale as Hibari Misora's apple-themed hit "Ringo Oiwake."

Prior to the show on both days, during the pre-experience held on November 4th, there were people who were eagerly listening to the sounds that could be heard from various parts of the apple tree. A man in his 40s said, "The sound was different depending on where I heard it, and I could feel the vitality of the apple just by straining my ears."

The experience is available from 10:00 to 11:30 on the 5th and from 10:00 to 15:00 on the 6th. Free trial.
