    On September 3rd, a lecture "Local Photo Course" was held at Shibata University Junior College (Kamigawara-cho, Hirosaki City).

    It was held as part of the educational program "Life Creation College" co-sponsored by Shibata Gakuen and Machinaka Campus (Dotemachi). This is the 4th time, with the aim of providing a diverse learning environment for students and local residents. The lecturer is MOTOKO, a photographer. While active in the fields of music and advertising, he is also involved in community development projects based on the concept of "local photography" under the theme of "regions and photography."

    In the lecture, for local residents who want to revitalize the city, they will talk about examples of local photos in depopulated areas, the mental attitude that will be necessary, and the changes in the way of "tourism" after the spread of the new coronavirus infection. He talked about local photography that can also foster ". The lecture was attended by about 40 people, including high school students interested in urban development and local residents such as U-turners.

    A high school student, Maan Ishioka, who listened to the lecture, said, "I want to carefully capture the charm of this town in each and every photograph. I want to take pictures that will make my older sister, who went on to college, feel the charm of this town and make a U-turn," he said with a smile.
