An outdoor event "Books, Curry and Coffee" will be held on August 7th at the cafe "Sakurabayashi Saryo" (Hyakuzawa, Hirosaki City) opposite Iwakiyamasakurabayashi Park.

We hold reading sessions, used book sales, and live music on the theme of books. The first outdoor event planned by Takumi Nara, the owner of the bookstore "Mawarimichi Bunko" (Blacksmith Town), and Kimiko Sakuraba, the owner of "Sakurabayashi Saryo".

Mr. Sakuraba said, "Each person enjoys a book. Some people read books and others are satisfied with buying a jacket. You can just come to look for a book at this event, or read while listening to music. Some people may come to Japan. "

The venue will use the empty space adjacent to the cafe, and the terrace seats will be the stage. In the reading, 10 former announcers, local singer-songwriters, and experienced readers will read the novels and essays selected by "Mawarimichi Bunko".

Each BGM being read is read using folk instruments such as Hammered Dulcimer and Liar. Mr. Nara smiles, "How will the books I choose be read by the readers and what kind of chemical reaction will occur with BGM? I am looking forward to it."

It is said that the sales of used books will be freely brought in by each of the seven people recruited in advance. "It will be a variation with a lot of individuality. Book encounters will be a once-in-a-lifetime event. It will surely be an event with good encounters," says Nara. "Our store plans to prepare something that is nostalgic and easy to pick up, such as a culture magazine from the 2000s."

At the eating and drinking booth, there are "Hama Curry" (Shinmachi, Aomori City), "Mell on coffee" (Aomori City), and a shaved ice shop. "Hama Curry" is a curry shop that uses spices from various countries. On the same day, it will be titled "Summer Sri Lankan Curry" and will have multiple limited plate menus (1,200 yen).
