The Japanese restaurant "Washokusha Sano" (Kitakawabata-cho, Hirosaki City) is currently looking for a new owner.

Located near Chuohirosaki Station, this Japanese restaurant was built by the owner, Katsunori Sano, in 2006 (Heisei 18). The store area is about 24 tsubo, with 2 private rooms and 6 counter seats. The store has renovated a part of the lumber warehouse of the Yoshifumi Meiki store. Regarding the recruitment, Mr. Sano says, "I feel the limits as a cook and am thinking of retiring, but I want to keep only the store."

Mr. Sano is now 68 years old. After graduating from junior high school, he moved to Tokyo and worked at Japanese restaurants in Kyobashi, Shirokanedai, and Osaka until he was 26 years old. The two brothers were also cooks, but since they worked in Kyushu, Mr. Sano, who was the closest to Hirosaki, was recalled. I had been running a restaurant called "Kimimachi" with my mother for almost 20 years in Dotemachi, but in 1999 (Heisei 11) I opened a restaurant in Dotemachi and changed the name to "Washokusha Sano".

"I met as a customer the president of the Yamaguchi Building Research Institute in Yamagata. I asked the company to design the previous store and the current store. I will introduce the current location because of various connections. The place I got it, "says Mr. Sano. "The store was built for 20 years without maintenance, and has been designed in various places."

The counter is about 5 meters and is a single plate of birch. The beam on the counter is called the mountain cherry tree in the Shirakami Mountains, which was cut down before it was certified as the Shirakami Mountains. Hishigi bamboo is used for a part of the wall and under the counter, and rust bamboo is used for the window grid. The entire building is warm with wall heating, and we are particular about natural wood from the ceiling to the floor.

Currently, due to the influence of Corona, it is open only for reservations, but in December last year, he began to feel the limits as a cook. "I've had a hard time preparing a lot of food, such as having to endure the pain in my arm and not having enough strength in my fingertips. I'm still doing it now, but I'd like to give it up if anyone can leave the store." And Mr. Sano.

Mr. Sano said, "When the building is no longer in use, it starts to hurt. If there are no people to use it, it may be removed. You can close the store and sell it, but while I can work, I will continue to use it as a living room without opening the store. I want to leave it to a young person who can help me. "

For inquiries, please contact Mr. Sano (TEL 090-3366-6520 ).
