The shoe repair shop "ARUMAKAN" (TEL 0172-40-3696 ) opened on April 20th on the 1st floor of the Sakurano Hirosaki store (Jotokita, Hirosaki City).

In addition to repairing shoes and shining shoes, the store also repairs bags and umbrellas, and creates duplicate keys. The owner, Takashi Nakamura, opened the business independently with nearly 15 years of experience. The store name is a reverse reading of the last name in Roman letters. Mr. Nakamura smiles, "I had an idea to use a foreign language such as Italian or polite as the store name, but in the end it became simple."

Mr. Nakamura is from Hachinohe. After working at a thrift shop and a fashion brand store, he became interested in shoe repair. Mr. Nakamura recalls, "I often wondered if it would be possible to use it more if it was repaired or repaired at a thrift shop." In 2008 (Heisei 20), he changed his job to a shoe repair shop in Miyagi / Sendai, and from 2012 (Heisei 24) he worked for "Kagiyoshi" in the basement of the Ito-Yokado Hirosaki store.

I had been thinking about independence for a long time, but because the tenant recruitment and the closing of "Kagiyoshi" overlapped. We asked "Old Furniture Miyamako" (Dotemachi) to design the store, and valued the image of being able to drop in easily. “I want to aim for a way to use my shoes so that I can leave them while shopping and hand them over when I go home,” says Nakamura.

The menu includes lift (heel) replacement (990 yen and up), shoe shine (880 yen and up), non-slip (1,980 yen and up), and key creation (550 yen and up). Repairs will be carried out after hearing the condition and wishes for repairs and estimating the price.

It's been a month since it opened, and the number of requests is increasing little by little, not only for the heel reinforcement of shoes and the repair of scratches, but also for the repair of children's basketball shoes. Mr. Nakamura says, "I want to wear my favorite shoes for a long time. I hope I can help."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 19:00. Closed on Wednesdays.
