On April 15th, a Japanese restaurant "Orino" (Motodaikumachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-88-7595 ) opened near Hirosaki Park.

The restaurant mainly serves kaiseki cuisine using ingredients from the four seasons. The owner, Norio Mikami, who trained in Tokyo and Saitama, made a U-turn and opened the business. The store name is from the opposite reading of the name.

After graduating from high school, Mikami goes to a university in Sendai. Knowing the joy of cooking while living alone, after graduating, went to a culinary school in Tokyo. Regarding choosing Japanese food from the dishes that had Japanese, Western, and Chinese, Mr. Mikami says, "There are various expressions and depth, and the last choice as a Japanese person is still Japanese food."

Mr. Mikami said that he had been thinking about opening a business locally for a long time. He returned to Hirosaki once in 2012 (Heisei 24) and served as a lecturer at a junior college. It came out. "I helped prepare for the new store, but Corona made me lose my plans and decided to return to Hirosaki again," says Mikami.

Returned to Hirosaki last year and started preparing to open a store. "I decided to open a store now rather than waiting for Corona to open," he said. The store area is 23 tsubo and the number of seats is 14. It was a former izakaya site, and I chose it because of its size and location. The interior of the store was renovated, but procurement of materials was delayed and construction was prolonged. Mr. Mikami says, "I firmly assembled the conductors of the kitchen in the open kitchen."

The menu includes the Omakase course (7,000 yen), the Omakase market price course (15,000 yen and up), the soft-shelled turtle course (10,000 yen), and the blowfish course (12,000 yen), which include 7 dishes from appetizers to meals and desserts. only. Reservation required. For lunch, in addition to the lunch set (3,000 yen), there are also single item menus such as seafood small bowl (1,500 yen), two-color oyakodon (1,100 yen), and "handmade soba" (980 yen).

Ingredients are collected from all over the country by asking a contractor with whom I have a relationship from my previous job. Sake will also be a lineup ordered from all over the country from local sake. You can add options such as "Sake pairing" (starting from 4,000 yen), which proposes sake that matches each dish of the Omakase course.

It's been two weeks since it opened, and I'm glad that there was a reaction that made me happy with the food and impressed with the dishes. Mr. Mikami smiles, "We change not only the dishes but also the dishes according to the seasons. We want to make it a restaurant that can be used by locals for anniversaries and celebration dinners."

Business hours are from 11:30 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. Closed on Tuesdays.
