It has been a month since the wine shop "YOIZUKI GARAGE" (Nishishigemori, Hirosaki City, TEL 050-3503-5581 ) opened near Zenringai, Hirosaki.

The store offers a wine fitting service and is a make-to-order sales style that keeps inventory as low as possible. Akio Nagata, who has a sommelier qualification, renovated his home warehouse and opened it on February 21, 2022.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Nagata moved to Tokyo to work as a band, and after working part-time at a wine shop, he began to take an interest in wine. "Music and wine have similarities and are a medium to entertain people," says Nagata. He was assigned to work other than wine, and when he was thinking about changing jobs, including U-turns, he learned about "Next Commons Lab (NCL) Hirosaki."

NCL Hirosaki is a general incorporated association that works for the purpose of entrepreneurship utilizing local resources and fostering local ventures, and launched a wine project to create the wine industry in Hirosaki. Mr. Nagata made a U-turn in January 2019 (Heisei 31) and managed the project. After a three-year term, he became independent in December 2021.

Mr. Nagata said, "For three years, I was involved in wine making, held wine seminars, and focused on disseminating information on wine, but I could not do what I wanted because of the corona. I knew again that there were few, and decided to start my own business. "

It's been a month since it opened, and there is more demand for wine than expected, such as consultations on wine that goes well with dinner and requests to choose wine for gifts. “I felt that wine is a drink with a high threshold. I want you to drink it more casually,” says Nagata.

"There are not only different types of wine, but also different ways to enjoy it. It's not a mistake to choose wine from the label, so don't think too hard and just consult with us."
