The culture school "LOCO STUDIO" (Hirosaki City Ekimaemachi, TEL 0172-55-6473) opened near JR Hirosaki Station West Exit on April 1st.

Emi Mikami, who started the Tahitian school "Ravahere" in the city in 2010, and Takashi Mikami, an instructor of street dance, opened as a couple. Since there are few places to practice dancing in the city, Emi says, “I was thinking of a studio from that time.” Takashi is enthusiastic about "I want to start from here."

The facility area is 20 tsubo. There are 5 classes of "Tahitian dance", "Yoga", "Street dance", "Salsa" and "Pilates", and 9 instructors are enrolled. “Pilates is different from yoga in that it is used for rehabilitation. It's only here in Hirosaki now,” says Emi. Although he was not good at exercise and sports, he said that he started Tahitian dance 7 years ago when he was ill. "I can't think of it in my old days as a liberal arts student. Like I was, I can do sports in any class," he says with a smile.

The origin of the store name is "local" with the meaning that we want to establish a culture such as dance in the area. "It's not just a women's classroom, so I want men to feel free to come. It's a chance for people who want to do something new."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 22:00 (12:00 on Saturdays). Closed on Sundays. Enrollment fee = 3,000 yen, monthly fee = 5,000 yen (per class), yoga class is 4,000 yen. Tahitian dance and street dance are also available for children (5 years old to junior high school 3rd grade) = 4,000 yen.
