A craft event "Shimashima, polka dots, and sometimes lattice" will be held on March 27th and 28th at the cafe "ki to ao" in Hirosaki City (Ekimaemachi, Hirosaki City).

Ai Tanizawa, the organizer, says, "A mobile general store that handles handmade works for a limited time." I have been holding it irregularly since 3 years ago by calling out to the writers with whom I had exchanges. This is the 8th time, and he says, "I want many people to feel free to see handmade works." In the past, more than 100 visitors visited in one day, so the theme of this time is "Shimashima, polka dots, check" is the same as the first time, "I made a point of returning to the origin".

Nine women in their 20s and 50s will be exhibiting. Approximately 200 works such as bags and miscellaneous goods are displayed centering on clothes and accessories. Mr. Tanizawa introduced, "There are many original and interesting works even with simple motifs such as Shimashima, polka dots, and checks." I also want the announcement flyer to have an image of "what kind of exhibition is there," without giving detailed explanations or photos of the works. Mai Kobayashi, who was in charge of the illustration, commented, "I imagined clothes fluttering in the wind in a white space." Based on the image, he says that he will devise a display method such as hanging the work from the ceiling.

Rika Sato, the owner of the store, worked as a handmade artist with Mr. Tanizawa. On both days, we will offer a limited original sweet "3 o'clock snack". Around September 2014, when the store opened, Mr. Tanizawa, who had said he wanted to make a mobile miscellaneous store, proposed that he wanted to make something with Mr. Sato. “We created sweets in line with the theme of the artists who were exhibiting,” says Sato. The number of "3 o'clock snacks" is limited, and the reservation for 28th has already ended.
