The curry shop "Curry & Music CHANTLOOSE" (Okonoki, Kuroishi City, TEL 0172-78-1038 ) was relocated and opened on December 10.

The curry shop that was open until August 31, 2021 in Matsumorimachi, Hirosaki City. Offering Indian and neighboring countries' dishes and spice curry in "Meals" style. The owner, Taku Terazawa, learned spices on his own and opened in September 2014. The store name is a coined word that combines "chant" and "liberation" and also means "proper loose".

Mr. Terazawa reveals that the move was due to the desire to expand the store. The previous store in Matsumorimachi was 8 tsubo and the parking lot was small, and it was said that he felt it was too small as the number of regular customers increased. "I wasn't particular about the destination, so I went to Houda to see the vacant tenants. I chose Kuroishi because the conditions were good," says Mr. Terazawa.

The interior of the store was commissioned by Miyamako (Dotemachi), which handles old furniture produced at the previous store. "At the previous store, we put videotapes and miscellaneous goods, and it was a miscellaneous image, but I asked for the new store to be simple," says Mr. Terazawa. The new store was a dining room that was over 40 years old, and the outer wall was distorted, so it was said to have a double structure. The store area is 27 tsubo and the number of seats is 17.

The menu is only "Meals" (starting from 1,100 yen), which contains 9 kinds of dishes such as tomato rasam (spiced tomato soup) and dal (simmered beans). You can choose the main curry. Drink set (+300 yen), large serving of rice (+100 yen). We accept take-out, but only the "take-out curry" (1,000 yen), which contains chicken achar and two kinds of vegetable side dishes. Alcohol menus such as Heartland beer (600 yen) and lemon sour (400 yen) are also available.

Mr. Terazawa said that the regular customers who had been waiting for him since the first day of the relocation opened could not afford to leave the kitchen. "I couldn't say hello. I worked for the first time in a long time, so my hands got stuck in the kitchen," he smiles.

"The concept of the store was" curry & music. "It would be nice if there was a store where you could just enjoy curry while listening to music on vinyl. I want to make it a store like a jazz cafe. Feel free to come and visit us."
