Hirosaki Park is currently being lit up to illuminate the autumn leaves in the park.

The current illumination continues even after the closing of the "Hirosaki Castle Chrysanthemum and Autumn Leaves Festival" that was held from November 1st to November 7th. The event is an annual autumn event that has continued since 1962, and has held a chrysanthemum doll exhibition and a chrysanthemum flower exhibition by citizens at the Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden as the main venue. Last year, the event was canceled to prevent infection with the new coronavirus. It was the first time in two years, and more than 40,000 people visited in the seven days from the 1st.

At the event, the autumn leaves in the park are lit up every year. The rooted ginkgo tree, which is about 32 meters high and is located in the western part of the park, was lit up for the first time in three years. In the park, there is also a "Nishiki no lantern" using Neputa paintings and a "Kagaribi" near the castle gate, which can be seen even now when the event is over.

A person in charge of the executive committee said, "I hope that visitors will continue to take measures against infectious diseases and enjoy the gorgeous illumination of autumn nights."

Light-up lighting time is from sunset to 20:00. Until November 14th. The illumination of the autumn leaves of cherry blossoms and the botanical garden in Sotobori has ended on the 7th.

    * I posted the light-up of the rooted ginkgo as "first", but it was incorrect. We apologize for the correction.
