On October 13, the second-generation owner reopened the closed "Izakaya Tsugaru Syu" (Omachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-35-6256 ) near JR Hirosaki Station.

The store was founded in 1971 (Showa 46) as "Robatayaki Tsugaru Syu" in Kajimachi. In 2000 (Heisei 12), it moved to its current location and changed its name to "Izakaya Tsugaru Syu". The founder and first generation Toyomitsu Harada retired in August this year, and the store was closed from August 29th.

Mr. Toyomi, who turns 70 this year, has continued to open the store with the goal of closing the store by the end of the year. According to Shintaro Harada, who succeeded the second generation of Mr. Toyomitsu's nephew, he continued the store with the expectation that the new coronavirus might converge, but the situation has not changed since last year and he abandoned business in August. It is said that it was done.

Shintaro has been working part-time at the restaurant since college and learned the joy of working at a restaurant. After graduating from university, I got a job as an office worker, but I couldn't forget my experience at the store and retired. I decided to work for Mr. Plump. Shintaro recalls, "When I was a company employee, I was told by my predecessor, who had few words, to help me. I came back with the intention of taking over the store."

Shintaro, who decided to take over the store, said, "There are many regular customers, people from outside the prefecture, part-time workers who worked, and people involved, so there is a sense of mission that we cannot eliminate this store." The store was renovated while it was closed, and the wallpaper and toilets were renewed to support cashless payments. Wi-Fi was installed.

The U-shaped counter seats will be left as they are, and the menu will not be changed, but the focus will be on fresh fish. Shintaro reveals that he wants to keep the price of 100 yen for the signature menu "Miso". "According to the predecessor, I heard that when the store's management began to tilt, it offered shell-grilled miso as a service item for 100 yen. It became a popular product and continues to this day. I don't want to lose its history."

Since Mr. Toyomi had only told some people about his retirement, not only were some customers mistaken for closing the store, but some people came to the store without knowing it. Shintaro says, "I want to continue the store as a place where customers can come back. 40 years, 50 years. I hope to continue the store with the 3rd and 4th generations."

Business hours are from 17:00 to 23:00. Closed on Sundays.
