Kuroishi Commercial High School (Kuroishi City, Aomori Prefecture) Information Design Department (formerly Commercial Design Department) is currently calling on graduates who produced the return of works stored at the school.

Approximately 600 B1 size posters will be returned to the graduates. There are many works from the 1st to 10th grades, and some students have more than one left. Fumiko Saki, the teacher in charge, says, "It's something that the school kept for current students as a sample of the production."

The department, which has existed since its establishment in 1973, is said to have been established as the fourth department in Japan to study "commercial design." In March 2022, the prefectural high school reorganization plan decided to close the school by merging with Kuroishi High School, and the department was transferred to Hirosaki Vocational High School in 2020.

The graduate's work was found in the classroom arrangement due to the closing of the school. "When I look at it again, the drafting and coloring are all done by hand, and the work conveys a sense of tension and freedom. I feel a level of height that children who rely on computers today do not have." "I checked each one, but the current students were impressed that they couldn't write to themselves like I did."

To return the work, send the information such as name and graduation year to the school by e-mail or fax, and then the school will confirm the existence of the work. You can return it by mail or by visiting the school. From October 1st, the works will be exhibited on the premises of Kuroishi Station and on the trains of the Konan Line in collaboration with the "Hirosaki Railway Cultural Festival".

Mr. Kazuki said, "Currently, this work was drawn by a generation in their late 50s or older. In many cases, they have gone out of the prefecture rather than in Aomori prefecture, so I can hardly contact them. I want to return it to the person who drew it and his family. "

Return applications will be accepted until February 2022.
