The "Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival" is a cherry blossom festival held at Hirosaki Park, where 2,600 Yoshino cherry trees bloom, and since the time of full bloom coincides with Golden Week, visitors from all over the country visit. Important cultural properties such as the only castle tower that still exists in Tohoku and the Yagura Gate at the site of Hirosaki Castle have many attractions such as cherry blossom tunnels, illuminations, and flower baskets. Before Corona, there were cherry blossom viewing visitors from overseas.

The poster is for the announcement of the "Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival" to promote the attraction of tourists, and the adopted design will be posted as the main visual in various places throughout the country such as inside JR stations and tourist facilities. Currently, successive posters are on display at Hirosaki Park Picnic Square. The oldest poster of the remaining "Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival" is 1937 (Showa 12). In the past, there are also Japanese paintings drawn by world-famous woodblock printmaker Shiko Munakata from Aomori and Yoshiko Mita, who starred in the taiga drama "Life".
