On March 3rd, Hirosaki opened the "Bask restaurant, which also serves lunch, and the Bask clothing store that also serves restaurant, which was open during the night" (Hirosaki Ichikamachi).

The "Ethnic clothes shop Bask" (Yamashita-cho), which handles a few ethnic miscellaneous goods in the city, opened with the relocation as an opportunity. The owner, Eriko Takeuchi, has always loved cooking and has been helping her mother for six years at the home restaurant "Hinata Bocco" in Kadare Yokocho (Momoishi Town). Four years ago, he started "Ethnic clothes shop Bask", but "I gradually started to want to do the restaurant myself," he said.

Takeuchi rarely goes out of the prefecture, and even in the city. The name of the store comes from the Basque Country in Spain and laughs, "I've never been there but I want to go there". Regarding the reason for continuing the general store, he said, "I can wear it even if it is unsold," while "there are almost no general stores that are open until night. Demand from customers who want to shop suddenly with gifts etc. There was this. ”

The store area is 30 tsubo and there are 22 seats. The interior of the store, which was designed to look like a bar in a rural American town of the 1980s, is divided into a dining room and a general store space, so you can come and go freely. From the thickness of the counter table to the appearance of the "BASK" logo made in the store, he says "I ordered the vendor in detail." "I chose something that is fun to use with colorful utensils and tableware. It's fun to be surrounded by what you love and to do what you like," he says with a smile.

The menu is gratin (800 yen) using homemade white sauce and doria (750 yen). Mr. Takeuchi joined the menu because he likes hamburgers, BASK burger (850 yen) continued to improve the buns until the opening. In addition, Japanese food such as omelet (400 yen) and Tsugaru pickled rice (250 yen) that you can choose whether sweet or not sweet is also available. The drink menu also includes beer, sour, cocktails, whiskey, shochu, and sake. Japanese sake is collected from local Aomori sake so that tourists can enjoy it.

Takeuchi says, "I still have something I want to do" in the city. "I want to open" BASK "in various industries and fill up Hirosaki," he says with his dreams.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 24:00. Closed Mondays for lunch and Sundays for bar time.
