Aomori / Owani's "Shokantou Onsen Ryokan" (TEL 0172-48-3000 ) is aiming for a crowdfunding project on August 6th, three days after the call, to recruit supporters for facility repairs. Achieved the forehead.

"Shokantō Onsen" was founded in 1974 as a public bath by the grandfather of the current shop owner, Noriko Yokoyama, who dug up a hot spring. In 1979 (Showa 54), Yokoyama's father, Yasunori, started operations as an inn.

Mr. Yasunori was nicknamed "Anchan", and because he liked motorcycles, guests from all over the country came to visit as an "inn where riders gather". Noriko said, "My father passed away last year after fighting illness, so I decided to take over the inn. I had been preparing for repairs for several years, but the number of guests decreased due to corona and repair costs due to aging Overlapping, I was starting to run out of money. "

Initially, only the dressing room and bathroom were to be repaired, and construction was scheduled to start in late June, but in May this year, the pump that pumps the source and the heat pump that heats the source broke down. Since it was a machine related to hot springs, he gave priority to repairs, but he said that he had paid for the repairs. “Challenge in a crisis of survival. It was crowdfunding with a painful feeling,” says Yokoyama.

There are 10 types of return items available for 3,000 to 100,000 yen. We have a one-year free bathing ticket, a 12-night free accommodation ticket, special products such as "Owani Onsen bean sprouts" and apple juice for those who cannot come to stay, and a day-trip bathing ticket for locals.

The target amount is 2.5 million yen. Crowdfunding support has been called from August 3rd. “I was worried about what to do if I couldn't achieve it, but I was able to reach the target amount in three days,” says Yokoyama with a smile. "I'm just grateful for the support from all over the country. I'm thinking about setting the next goal in the future."

At the inn, reservations for guests who have begun to return are being canceled one after another due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Mr. Yokoyama said, "I would like to keep this inn built by my father as a place where people meet from all over the country. I can't feel relieved because I can't see the end of Corona, but my daily life is back. I would like to wait for you again at that time, so I am very pleased with your support. "

Call for support for the project is open until 11:00 on September 5th.
