Architectural design office "mizuiro architects" (Fujisaki-cho, Minamitsugaru-gun, TEL 0172-65-2137 ) will celebrate its 60th anniversary on June 23rd.

The company is run by three brothers, Mizuho Kasai, Mizuki, and Mizuto. Founded in 1961 (Showa 36). Three grandfathers, Sataro, were founded as a construction company "Rikuoku Block". In 1991 (Heisei 3), his father, Satoshi, changed the trade name to "Rikuoku Home" and changed the company name to "Mizuiro Architects" when the era name became Reiwa in 2019.

"Mizuiro" was named because all three had "Mizu" in their names and they wanted to change like water that blends into the surrounding environment and changes into any state. Mr. Mizuto said, "When I changed the company name from Rikuoku Home, I was worried that the number of jobs would decrease, but as a result, the number of jobs other than general housing is increasing, and the range of business is expanding."

According to Mr. Mizuto, in recent years he has begun to work on the construction of business stores such as cafes and beauty salons, children's facilities, and the renovation of sake breweries.

The roles of the three are that the eldest son Mizuho is in charge of the site supervision, and the second son Mizuki and the third son Mizuto, both of whom are first-class architects, are in charge of the design. "Little Nook" (Hyakuzawa, Hirosaki City), "cafe SHIZUKU" (Fujisaki Town, Minamitsugaru District), "CUT BOX 954" (Hirosaki City) Izumino) is a residence and store, and was built according to the client's wishes, land, and usage scene.

According to Mr. Mizuto, it takes time to hear with the client, hold discussions until they are satisfied, and shape the image. "I often make models instead of CG so that the owner can easily imagine the finished image. Sometimes I can see it for the first time by shaping it," says Mizuto. Mizuki, who was in charge of "Rashinban" (Namioka, Aomori City), said, "Two younger brothers draw drawings, and the older brother who builds them silently builds them according to various requests.

In August 2019, an office and gallery will be set up in Space Denega (Kamikawarakecho, Hirosaki City) to store past properties and models of ongoing projects. Free to visit.

"Even if the house is well-designed, it is built with consideration for comfort and the life of the user," says Mizuto. He wants to increase the number of buildings that can only be built on that land or in that place.
