    Asahi Breweries (Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will sell a limited-time product "Nikka Cider Toki Apple" using Aomori Prefecture apple "Toki" on June 1st.

    This product is manufactured at the Nikka Whiskey Hirosaki Factory (Sakaemachi, Hirosaki City). Nikka Whiskey, which inherited the cider business from "Asahi Cider" (Yoshino Town), which was established in 1954, moved to its current location in 1965 as the main factory for apple liquor. The current product lineup consists of three types, "Cider Sweet," "Cider Dry," and "Cider Rose," and we are particular about cider that uses 100% domestic apples.

    This is the sixth sale of "Nikka Cider Toki Apple", which has been manufactured for a limited time every year since 2016 (Heisei 28). In the past, single varieties of cider include "Fuji" and "Koutama", and "Nikka Cider Nouveau Sparkling" using "Tsugaru" is also sold for a limited time every year.

    The package design draws a yellow apple "time" on a turquoise and white background. No sugar or fragrance added, alcohol content is 3%. A spokeswoman said, "It has a strong sweetness and aroma, and has a mild acidity. It is recommended to match it with Japanese food and seafood dishes, and to have a refreshing drink after taking a bath."
