The exhibition "Apple Universe-Apple Cycle / Cosmic Seed" is currently being held at the Hirosaki Museum of Contemporary Art (Yoshino-cho, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-32-8950).

A special exhibition by eight contemporary artists from Japan and overseas on the theme of "Imagination that develops from everyday life to space scale using apples as a material". We will exhibit a space that collaborates with video works and sound production, and large neon works created according to the atrium with a height of about 15 meters.

Ms. Mina Osawa, a spokeswoman, said, "All the works can be photographed. There are various works such as works made by staying in Hirosaki and works using fruits centered on apples. There are ways to enjoy sending the works themselves to SNS etc. There is also a way to enjoy watching the works reflected in other works on the same floor. "

The exhibition will not only exhibit works, but will also hold lectures and workshops entitled "Hirosaki Apple Platform" to introduce research and initiatives related to apples. On May 8th, the talk event "Apple Garden" will be held. "Coexistence with living animals" was opened.

On the same day, Chie Murano, an institutional researcher at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Hirosaki University, and Chikage Ishioka, an apple farmer, took the stage. In the first half, Mr. Murano explained the relationship between animals and apple orchards, and in the second half, Mr. Ishioka introduced the farmer's life and the enjoyment of apple orchards.

Mr. Murano said, "At first, I was asked to give an academic lecture, but I thought it would be easier for the participants to listen to the talk event, where they had a chat in a dialogue format, so I called out to Mr. Ishioka."

In the future, "Hirosaki Apple Platform" is planning a workshop such as making apple crates and farming experience, a screening of the short film "A Girl in the Apple Farm", and a talk event of the artists who exhibited at the exhibition. The event will also be streamed online.

Opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00. Closed on Tuesdays. Admission is 1,300 yen for general students, 1,000 yen for university and professional students, and free for high school students and younger. Until August 29th.
