"Hirosaki Apple Pie Recipe BOOK" (published by Parco Publishing) supervised by the Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Bureau (Shimoshiroganecho, Hirosaki City) began selling on April 1.

This book contains recipes for 20 apple pie shops in Hirosaki City. In addition to anticipating the "house demand" of the recipes heard from each store, it is also expected to be used as a guidebook because there are introductions of stores other than the listed stores.

In March 2010, the association published the "Hirosaki Apple Pie Guide Map," which introduces apple pies made from apples produced in Hirosaki Prefecture, which boasts the largest production of apples in Japan. Currently, it has been revised up to the 14th edition and 43 stores are listed. Popular with tourists, mainly women, it also sells the local taxi "Apple Pie Concierge" around apple pie shops and original goods.

The association was in charge of the negotiations for the interview at a store designated by the Parco Publishing Editorial Department. Noriko Muraoka, the person in charge, said, "Some stores didn't want to publish the recipe, so there were twists and turns. Some stores that provided the recipe used the oven for books. Some stores made recipes in an easy-to-understand manner, such as arranging them for home use. "

The apple pies to be introduced are categorized by shape, and the varieties of apples used and guidelines for sweetness and sourness are also posted. "It's also a content that makes you aware of the uniqueness of the store. You can enjoy making apple pie, which is popular with locals, at home," says Muraoka.

Along with the publication, Craft & Japanese Style Café Takumikan (Kamishiroganecho) will sell "Apple Pie Shaved Ice" (950 yen) as a collaboration menu for a limited time until April 15. Books were donated to city schools and libraries.

The price is 1,320 yen. A5 size, all color, 80 pages. It will be sold at bookstores nationwide, Machinaka Information Center, Hirosaki Apple Park, Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center, and convenience stores in Hirosaki City.
