On March 23, Aomori's bread maker "Kudo Bread" began selling "British toast (Sakura An & Milk Whip)" in collaboration with the support character "Sakura Miku" of the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival.

Kudo Bread is a major bread maker in Aomori Prefecture with its head office in Aomori City. The signature menu "British Toast" is a sweet bread with margarine and granulated sugar sandwiched between mountain-shaped breads. It is popular as a soul food for the citizens of the prefecture, and in recent years it has attracted a lot of attention in collaboration with characters such as "Evangelion," "Love Live," and "Hello Kitty."

Sakura Miku is a female virtual idol who collaborated with the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival and was appointed as an official support character in 2019 (Heisei 31). Initially, the term was two years, but in 2020, the Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival was canceled due to the new coronavirus, and the term was postponed.

The package is Sakura Miku from illustrator iXima, who was in charge of the main visual for the third consecutive year. Sakura Miku poses like praying against the backdrop of the castle tower of Hirosaki Castle, and has a heart-shaped twin tail. The British toast has the same standard as last year, and the domestic cherry bean paste is sprinkled with the cherry leaves from Shizuoka prefecture, and one of the several types of milk whipped cream that best suits the cherry bean paste is mixed.

The "Marble Strawberry Special" released at the same time was Sakura Miku with "Kongoyama Saishoin Five-storied Pagoda" (Doyamachi, Hirosaki City) drawn, and Mamo was in charge of the illustrator.

A person in charge of Kudo Bread said, "Last year, more than 90,000 units were sold. Compared to the new British toast product sold in the same month last year, it sold twice as much. I would like to expect this year as well."

The price is 140 yen. It will be sold at convenience stores in the 6 prefectures of Tohoku, Kudo bread dealers, and some antenna shops in Aomori prefecture in the Kanto region. The sale period is until May 31st.
