Hirosaki's antique furniture store "Rand BEAN" (Ozawa Yamazaki, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-55-9564 ) will hold a solo exhibition "IMAGE BACKPACKING 2020" by Hirosaki Machida, an illustrator from Hirosaki, on October 17th. ..

Machida, who is based in Zushi, Kanagawa, has been in charge of the jacket for the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, the illustration for the travel magazine "TRANSIT", and the illustration for "Unko Drill". On September 17th, he was in charge of the jacket illustration for the single CD "YDY" of the band "Gesu no Kiwami Otome".

After graduating from high school, Machida moved to Tokyo to go on to higher education. When I was in my fourth year of college, I started working as an illustrator. After graduating from university, he developed street art activities and event goods design in Australia, and after returning to Japan, held three solo exhibitions in Tokyo. This is the first time for a solo exhibition to be held locally.

Takamitsu Sato, president of "Land Bean," which will be the venue, is said to have been acquainted since college. Mr. Machida recalls, "When I held a solo exhibition in Hirosaki, I had been asking for Mr. Sato to be involved. It was a corona disaster, but it was a long-sought event."

At the venue, 40 illustration works will be exhibited. It is said that it is a work that delves into what I like and want to draw, which I made from last year to this year. It is said that Machida will be in the hall online during the period, and live painting will be done remotely on October 17, 18, 24, and 25 (twice a day at 13:00 and 17:00). The work completed in 4 days will be additionally exhibited.

Mr. Machida said, "I don't have a chance to go back to Hirosaki, but I'm looking forward to seeing you online this time. I hope you can refresh your feelings by seeing the work while you are stressed out by refraining from doing so." Call for a visit.
