In Aomori/Inakadate Village, the message for the world where the new coronavirus infection is spreading is in full bloom.

Rice field art that uses rice fields as a campus and draws pictures using different colors of rice. Inakadate Village has been part of the village revitalization since 1993. This year, we planned "Mona Lisa" at the 1st rice field art venue and "Evangelion" at the 2nd rice field art venue, but announced to cancel it on April 2 to prevent the spread of new coronavirus.

The message is said to have been made by planting rice over 10 days by 10 or more government officials from June 11 to 12. The message is "ONE FOR ALL, ALL FOR ONE". The Japanese translation is "one for all, all for one". The person in charge said, “I wondered if I could send a message from Inakadate Village using rice field art.”

Three types of rice were used, Asayuki, Purple Daikoku and Yellow Daikoku. In the normal rice field art, rice is planted on the entire surface, but this time, rice paddy was not planted except for the message. Weeds began to grow and the message was hard to see, so we cut the grass on August 17 to make it more visible.

The person in charge said, ``Unfortunately this year's rice field art was canceled, but it feels wasteful to leave it open, so the government officials are planting rice in order to let people around the world see it through the live camera at the observatory. There will be colors in the fall. If you enjoy rice field art from the Internet this year," he calls.
