" Yurei Exhibition" is currently being held at Gallery Moriyama ( Toki , Hirosaki, TEL 0172-35-6787 ).

This exhibition introduces about 80 ghost paintings and Neputa paintings owned by 7 temples in the Tsugaru region. This year marks the 17th annual summer event, and there are many local repeaters. The owner, Yutaka Moriyama, said, "There is also a meaning to let the ghost paintings that are stored all the year round be played outside."

One of the highlights of the exhibition, "Kanazaburo Watanabe's decapitation," is a ghost picture drawn at the end of the Edo period. According to Mr. Moriyama, there was no change in this exhibition, which was monitored by a fixed-point camera for 24 hours.

This year, we will also exhibit the Amabier woodworking toys and wind chimes made by Kokeshi maker Junichi Sasamori. “I put the thoughts of the plague away”, says Moriyama. "There is no need to shoot inside the venue. I want as many people as possible to see the ghosts that came out in a short time."

A ghost picture was less scary than I thought, a hell picture was more scary,” said a second-year elementary school girl from Inakadate. A 30-year-old man who visits from Kuroishi every year smiled, saying, "ghost paintings make it easy to enjoy extraordinary life.

Holding time is from 10:00 to 18:00. The admission fee (dedication fee) is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children (elementary school students and above). Until August 23.
