Hirosaki's spice curry specialty store " Yohachi Spice Tomita" (Tomita, Hirosaki, TEL 0172-40-4565 ) opened on May 23.

The same store operated by Hirosaki Market (Ekimaemachi), which is engaged in the business of selling local produce for local consumption and manufacturing side dishes. We offer curry that is a unique blend of 18 kinds of spices and herbs at takeaway.

“We started this business as a business that creates new possibilities for foodstuffs by utilizing the know-how we have gained from the production of local ingredients and the production of side dishes, which we purchased from the fresh food sales business, which mainly deals with local foodstuffs,” says staff member Shinki Sakai. The name "Yohachi" is from a greengrocer. The spice "pa" logo is based on an illustration of an onion.

Mr. Shohei Ima, who was involved in the company's side dish production, was in charge of curry recipes when opening the store. He said that he repeated testing in-house and put a lot of effort into blending the spices. "Spices are self-study. All of them are self-made, but I personally recommend the keema curry that uses the limited miso from Oowani miso brewing company "Marushichi"," he smiles.

The main menu curry is coconut chicken curry, spinach and chicken curry, butter chicken curry (over 550 yen), kea curry with plenty of beef, sour pork! Spicy! 5 kinds of curry (more than 650 yen). Rice uses turmeric and butter. It corresponds to the increase of rice and the purchase of only roux. In addition to curry, topping menus such as hot spring eggs and shredded cabbage (60 yen or more), charcoal grilled food such as "roast chicken lunch" (600 yen) will be prepared. All tax excluded.

Sakai says, "We are planning to increase the lineup of curry and aburi-yaki and provide a side dish menu. We are also considering dessert menus such as lassi and jasmine tea jelly."

It was pre-opened on May 3rd without any notice, and was planned for the preparation period to improve operations and menus, but it spread with "takeout support" on SNS. It was said that there were more visitors than expected. “It took some time to receive the order because it was handmade one by one, which caused some trouble, but I'm glad to hear the favorable comments,” Sakai said. Mr. Ima says, "I'm unfamiliar with SNS and I'm afraid to check it."

Mr. Sakai is enthusiastic, "I aim to be open all year round, and I want to establish it in Hirosaki as a curry store that can be visited at any time."

Business hours are from 11:00 to 20:00.
