    The development started in January 2019 when Mr. Tomizawa got to know Katsuyuki Haga, President of Kojo Seiko. A prototype was completed in April of the same year, and we asked 200 nursing staff to compare it with existing lights and conducted a questionnaire. Based on the collected questionnaires, the prototype was planned to be improved.

    Mr. Tomizawa said, "We need to create prototypes at least once or twice more, and we do not have enough development funds." "While university research funds can be used for patents and new inventions, it is difficult to budget for improving existing ones."

    To recruit project supporters for development funds, use the cloud fund for research and education, “READY FOR College”. This is the second case in Tohoku area after Tohoku University, and the first attempt at Hirosaki University. “It took a lot of time, and it took more than a year,” said Tomizawa.

    The target amount is 970,000 yen. Starting from January 24th, it has reached 75% as of February 7th. In addition to the support from medical and welfare workers inside and outside the prefecture, there were people who had experienced waking up with lights when they were in the hospital, so they said that their worries were the same.

    Mr. Tomizawa calls out that "not only nurses in the field but also patients who are hospitalized will be stress-free. Commercialization will help improve medical and welfare sites nationwide."
