On February 2nd, a ramen specialty store “Hakkoda Mengyo R” opened at the food court of Hirosaki's complex “Hiroro” (in front of Hirosaki station).

The store is jointly run by Hayato Ishiyama, a well-known researcher who has visited 2,000 ramen shops nationwide, and Daiki Iwabuchi, the owner of the ramen dining “Rcamp”. "Hakkoda Shokudo" (Okeyacho), which Mr. Ishiyama worked on, has been closed since January 27, and Rcamp is closed on January 12. Mr. Iwabuchi says, "We are currently training."

The two were born in Hirakawa and have had exchanges since junior high and high school. It is said that Mr. Iwabuchi had stayed in an apartment in Tokyo where Mr. Ishiyama lived for about a year. Mr. Iwabuchi recalled, "Because I accompanied Mr. Ishiyama, I became interested in ramen." Mr. Ishiyama was based in Tokyo until 2017 and is active as a ramen researcher. Mr. Iwabuchi started Rcamp in Hirosaki from 2010.

Regarding the opening of Hiroro, Mr. Ishiyama said, "There have been multiple requests to open the food court from before, and I was able to rent a tenant for "Korakuen Hiroro Hirosaki" without a house. I decided to open a store." Mr. Iwabuchi says, "I used to study by myself, but I will review my ramen and reconsider what is needed and required."

The menu includes Chinese buckwheat noodles (550 yen), niboshi ramen (700 yen), special tsukemen (950 yen), and more. Ramen Kaede uses Rcamp products, and soup uses Hakkoda Shokudo products. Side menus such as "Aomori Gyoza" (3 pieces = 200 yen) using garlic and apples from Aomori Prefecture, "fried chicken" (3 pieces = 250 yen) with source sauce, rice (100 yen), etc. prepare.

Mr. Ishiyama says, "We will gradually increase the number of menus. In the future, we plan to offer popular menu of Rcamp "Toripanyu" and limited monthly menus."

Business hours are from 10:00 to 19:30. Regular holidays are similar to Hiroro.
