On November 29, Hirosaki will hold a "Vegista in Children's Apple Expo 2014" class for parents and children to cook apple sweets kits.

The class will be held as part of the "Apple Exposition", a kingdom event celebrating the harvest of apples, with Hirosaki City, which ranks first in apple production in Japan, as a fictional country called "Apple Kingdom". The cooperating "Vegista" collaborates with local food culture under the theme of "food education that parents and children can enjoy" and holds food education events throughout the country.

The apple sweets kit used at the event was invented by Mr. Koji Seki, the owner chef of the sweets shop "Bonjour" (Joto Chuo, Hirosaki City). The kit started with the thought that "Apples are hard to make as souvenirs because they are raw, but I wanted Hirosaki's apples to be delicious as souvenirs." I was asked to cooperate with the event, and finally I could finish it for realization.

“We were particular about sweets kits that parents and children can enjoy,” says Seki. The sweets made with the kit are apple tart. All you need is eggs, milk, and butter, and all the necessary ingredients are packed in a kit. "The point is that you can easily make apple tart while enjoying a little process."

The kit will also be used for children's sales experience in conjunction with the apple apple sale event "Apple Planet 2" held in Osaka on December 7th.
