Hiroka Hirosaki Central Fruits and Vegetables Co., Ltd. (Suehiro, Hirosaki City) is currently at the peak of apple shipments.

Aomori Prefecture, which boasts the number one apple production in Japan, harvests more than half of all apples nationwide. The company's market boasts one of the largest shipments in the prefecture, with approximately one-third of the apples in the prefecture gathering. A wooden box (about 20 kg) packed with 60 to 70 apples in one box is traded at over 100,000 boxes a day at the peak. This year, 128,000 boxes on October 31st are the largest quantity in stock so far, and it has been talked about locally that the arranged apple crate looks like art.

The auction starts at 7:30 every day and lasts until noon. The auctioned apples are transported by pallet (maximum of 18 wooden boxes) and delivered to consumers all over the country by truck. In recent years, shipments to foreign countries such as Taiwan and Hong Kong have been increasing, and the number of visitors to the market is increasing. Mayumi Nishizawa of the company said, "The apple PR website supports not only English but also multilingual Chinese such as Chinese."

The apple auction peaks in early November and continues until mid-April.
