Is it sweeter than melon? ! Aomori brand corn "Dakekimi"
"Dakekimi" is a general term for corn cultivated and harvested in the Mt. Iwaki (elevation 1625m) mountainous area (elevation 400-500m) in the western part of Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. It is characterized by being overwhelmingly sweeter than other corn. It is a corn that has fans all over the country as Aomori brand corn.
From mid-August to late September, many stalls and direct sales of "Dakekimi" are sold along the road from Hyakusawa district in Aomori prefecture to Hyakusane district and Yudan district (see map below). Harvesting takes place early in the morning during the season, and you can buy fresh morning glory from the stalls.
There are also stores that sell yudemi, and you can also eat them on the spot. Please come and visit us during the season.
