The izakaya "Mikunike" (Gendai Komachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-34-8899) near the Hirosaki City Library celebrated its 7th anniversary on September 13.

Based on the concept of "a cozy shop that looks like a friend's house," the twin brother, Noriyoshi Mikuni and younger brother, Noritsugi, will make a difference. Menu only entrusted course. Mr. Noriyoshi, who is in charge of cooking, says, "I think about the menu structure depending on the age group and likes and dislikes, but I do not offer "seasonal food" or "local cuisine".

Inside the store you will find personal manga and anime goods. Some of them were left by regular customers. "It was a Japanese-style izakaya at the beginning of business, but the number of goods gradually increased and it was recognized as a "painful" izakaya," says Noritsugu. "There are things that get hot on the Internet, but the number of customers is flat," he smiled.

This year, the Sakura Miku project, which collaborated with the Hirosaki Sakura Festival and Neputa Festival, was connected to attracting customers. “There were customers from all over the country. I knew again that subculture has the power to move people,” Noritsugu said. The store name is derived from the surname of two people, but it is said that Hatsune Miku fan is called himself and is quoted from the anime "Minamike" that he liked at the time of opening.

“Sometimes Minamike's production staff came, and seven years have passed, and manga artists and celebrities in the industry have visited several times,” says Norihisa. “Hirosaki has more collaboration projects such as anime compared to seven years ago. I want you to do more.”

Regarding the 7th anniversary, Mr. Noritsugu said, "Originally, it is a price range that is friendly to customers' wallets. So we do not hold a thank-you campaign. Every day is a feeling of gratitude." Mr. Norihisa said, "I'm particular about what I don't care about. I won't care about it from now on."

Business hours are from 17:00. Closing time depends on congestion.
