Local bread "British toast" in Aomori will collaborate with popular anime "Evangelion" on July 1st.

There are two types that collaborate with "Evangelion": "British Toast Jari Choco Runaway Mode" and "Choco Ray (Synchro Version)". Both are products sold by Aomori bakery "Kudo Bread" (Kanazawa, Aomori City).

British toast is a sweet bread that has been around for over 50 years, mainly in Aomori Prefecture. In recent years, he has been developing collaboration products with characters such as "Love Live" and "Peko-chan", and is attracting attention not only from locals but also from outside the prefecture.

"Neon Genesis Evangelion" is a TV anime series that was broadcast from October 1995 (Heisei 7) to March 1996 (Heisei 8). It depicts boys fighting on a mysterious giant creature called an "apostle" riding a pan-human warfare weapon called "Evangelion". It continues to be popular even after the TV series ends, and in 2007 (Heisei 19), a new series started as "Evangelion New Theatrical Version". The final chapter of all four works will be released next year.

This collaboration is a tie-up project with the "Evangelion Exhibition" that starts on July 3rd on the 3rd floor of the Tooku Nippo Shinmachi Building (Shinmachi, Aomori City), and will be a reproduction of the scene that appears in the work.

"British toast Jari chocolate runaway mode" is topped with color choco cosplay, and inside is sandwiched with margarine and two different sizes of salame. Three times as many sharks as "Special British Toast" The "runaway mode" is a state that occurs when the main character, Shinji Ikari is on board the "Eva No. 1 machine", is in a state of crisis, and the control becomes ineffective and exerts more power than it should.

The person in charge of bread Kudo shows his confidence that "British toast has the best sense of dryness ever."

"Choco Ray (synchro version)" will be available in three types of packages featuring the popular character Rei Ayanami. "Synchro" refers to the synchronization between Eva and the soul of its passengers, and is represented by a wave pattern in the work. "In this product, the waveforms of white chocolate and black chocolate are regarded as synchronized," said the person in charge.

The price is 145 yen for the Jari/Choco runaway mode, and 139 yen for the synchronized version. It will be sold at convenience stores, supermarkets, and Kudopan shops in Aomori Prefecture. The sales period is from July 1st to August 31st.
