On May 24, Hiroshi Shibata, a photographer living in Hirosaki, started accepting orders for his first photo book, "Tsugaru Reconsideration".

Mr. Shibata taking a landscape photograph of Aomori centering on Tsugaru. The feature is that it shoots a lot of monotone snow scenes. In 2014, we received semi-selection in the 62nd Nikkor Photo Contest Part 2 and held a joint exhibition at Fujifilm Square (Minato-ku, Tokyo). Has held a solo exhibition for four consecutive years.

The publisher is "Michiotosha", a publisher in Wakayama. Masako Kitaura, the company's president, says, "I'm particular about the theme of "indigenous" as a regional publishing label. Mr. Shibata's photo shows the depths of the scenery that only the people living in the area see." Speak to. "It seems that my heart is still shaken," he said.

The photo book is 112 pages in total, including photos from the solo exhibition "Tsugaru Reconsidered" held in 2017 and "Unseen visibility" that was opened last year and unpublished photos. The size is 28.2 x 22.4 cm. The printing is "San M Color" (Kyoto). Mr. Kitaura said, "I think "San M Color" has a high level of technical ability to express colors and has one of the best printing technologies in Japan. I respect the professionalism of craftsmen who try to fulfill the wishes of writers and designers." Speak to.

We made a pre-order sale limited to 100 copies on April 11, and sold out in half a day. At the Photo Art Fair held in Taiwan in April, a dummy photo book was displayed because it was too late for publication, and some people booked three books, saying "The gradation of black and white is beautiful." Mr. Kitaura says, "I think it will be a photo book that travels widely to the world," which has already been booked from a gallery and bookstore in France.

Mr. Shibata said, "In the modern era of the Internet, paper media is very hard to consume, but still photo books that can be left as a form different from data have the advantage that they can be widely seen even after a long time, I don't think there are many photos in this photo book that everyone would think are beautiful, but as the time goes by, the recording side becomes darker. There were a lot of scenery that I could see. It's more like a feeling of confining "time" in a book rather than expressing myself."

The price is 6,800 yen (excluding tax). In Hirosaki city, Junkudo Hirosaki store (Hirosaki city bank) handles.
