Yoshino cherry trees are in full bloom on April 25 at Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragin-cho, Hirosaki City), and the illumination is in full bloom.

The park has approximately 2,600 cherry trees of 52 species on a site of approximately 500,000 square meters, which is equivalent to a little over 10 Tokyo Domes. Hirosaki City Park and Greenery Division declared that all Yoshino cherry trees in the park were in full bloom at 11:00 on the 25th. The standard trees in the park are in full bloom one day later than last year and four days earlier than normal.

The day was cloudy all day long with occasional light rain, but the crowds were crowded with cherry blossoms, and the lights up starting at sunset often pointed the camera or smartphone at the cherry blossoms reflected on the surface of the moat. The Sunyobashi Bridge in Nishibori is popular as a photo spot because cherry blossoms of about 300 meters bloom on both banks, and some cherry blossom visitors remained until the light up.

Akane Suzuki, who visited the Hirosaki Sakura Festival for the first time from Tokyo, said, “I wanted to see the cherry blossom poster someday, and finally I could realize it. It is more beautiful than I imagined, and it is better to see with the naked eye than the photograph. It's hard to leave this place."

Hirosaki Sakura Festival is until May 6th. The lighting time of light up is from 23:00 to sunset.
