On September 7th, "Tunen Tour & Gourmet Tour" will be held in Kuroishi City, Aomori. Sponsored by the Yokomachi Jumonji Machisodatekai (Nakamachi, Kuroishi).

The city has many old buildings such as the wooden arcades of the Edo period, which are rare in Japan, and the fire tunnel built in the Taisho era. The contents of the tour include a tour of three fire stations, a tour of the oldest active fire truck in Japan, and a plan to enjoy "Kuroishi Sweets" while listening to the shamisen performance.

Mr. Junta Nakata of the association said, “The fire-tuning station is still in active use, so it is not open to the public normally. There is also a plan to climb to the top of the fire watching tower about 15 meters high and look out over the town. "

The association was started three years ago as a volunteer group. Centered on people in their 30s and 40s who live in Kuroishi city, they started activities such as revitalizing the central shopping district, aiming to make Kuroishi a “walking and relaxing town”. Town walk planning is a part of that activity.

This year's town walking tour will be the first, "Machinaka exploration & gourmet tour" to visit merchants and sake breweries, "Oishi Takegaku garden peep & gourmet tour" around Japanese garden that is not open to the public 2 Plan tours are held regularly until March.
