Bicycle store in Hirosaki is renewed Rebuilding the store since its establishment
Hirosaki bicycle shop "Cyclist Special Takeuchi" (Daikanmachi, Hirosaki, TEL 0172-32-0693) was reopened on March 10.
This store handles about 180 sports and road bikes centered around overseas well-established brands. It was founded in 1912 (Taisho 1), and the third owner, Nobuyuki Takeuchi, is now the owner. He used to sell motorcycles at one point, but he said that he became a sports bike specialty store since Takeuchi-san.
Mr. Takeuchi has been fond of bicycles since he was a child, and he said that he used to assemble bicycles when he was in middle school. Graduated from university and worked as a bicycle wholesaler in the Kanto area. When he returned home, he thought that the distribution situation would change with the opening of Tohoku Motor, so he changed the business format from wholesale business. Takeuchi reveals that he is a latecomer to a bicycle retail store.
Since the store was a building since its establishment, it was rebuilt from August last year. During that time, it opened at a temporary store in the adjacent Watoku town. The new store will have a maintenance room and a specialized room for cleaning bicycles. The walls inside the store are particular about slats, so that shelves and hooks can be provided.
It is said that by March, a bicycle sales space for children will be expanded to a warehouse that is currently undergoing renovation behind the store. Takeuchi says, "I want to focus not only on sports bikes, but on mama-chari and bicycles for children."
The bicycle club "Club Gaudente Ticrista" that originated from the same store was formed by regular customers and cyclists. Mr. Takeuchi himself participated in the early morning ride and regularly holds seminars on problems such as punctures and cleaning methods. “The concept of our shop is to support you to enjoy riding a bicycle,” says Takeuchi.
"I also consult about fittings and training methods to adjust the bicycle to a position that suits my body. There are many things I want to do."
Business hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
