"Brewery bar GARTSU" (TEL 0172-55-6170) in Daikanmachi, Hirosaki City was reopened on February 8th.

The cider brewed from December 2017 will be sold in conjunction with the cider brewery. The restaurant booth was also open as "Daikanmachi Cafe & Bar", but the menu provided at this renewal was renewed.

“I'm making a menu based on the concept of cider, horse meat and sushi,” says Takayuki Shirato, the store manager in charge of cooking. Horse meat is procured directly from the specialty store “Odagiri Sangyo” (Goshogawara City) in Kanagi, and sushi is offered as sushi rolls such as California Roll (680 yen).

The store area is 15 tsubo and the number of seats is 14. The brewery in the back of the store can be visited from outside. The menu includes horse meat red sashimi (580 yen), three kinds of horse meat sashimi platter (1,980 yen), horse meat red meat grip (300 yen per sushi), "double tuna roll" (780 yen) with negitro and tuna etc. Philadelphia roll (880 yen) with salmon and cream cheese. We will prepare raw ham Caesar salad (780 yen) and original potato salad "Tsugaru no potato sara" (580 yen) with shredded flesh in the one item menu.

The drink menu includes "barrel raw cider GARUTSU" (480 yen) and "Apple wine" made at the brewery, draft beer (580 yen or more), local sake (580 yen ~), sour (480 yen each) Yen etc. are also provided.

One month after the reopening, Mr. Shirato recalled, "Many people have never eaten horse meat, and some customers are pleased with the unexpected compatibility with cider." "There are not many stores in Japan that offer sushi rolls that originated overseas. If we increase the number of menus that make use of the experience of working as a sushi chef for more than 10 years in the future," he shows his will.

Business hours are from 18:00 to 23:00. Closed on Mondays.
