The "Tsubame Cafe Room" (Tonda Town, Hirosaki City, TEL 050-5438-1035) near Hirosaki University opened on February 10.

The concept is "a shop where you can feel free to chat alone or with friends." Satoshi Nakamura, the owner, says, "We want to create a store that is located in the middle, unlike coffee shops with high thresholds and chain coffee shops and cafes."

Mr. Nakamura worked in the Narita Senzo Coffee Shop (Castle Tohoku) from 2007 to 2017 and gained experience in the cafe business. After leaving the job, he was looking for a store and visiting cafes outside the prefecture, considering the opening of business. Mr. Nakamura recalls, "I thought about the store I wanted to do and slowly prepared."

The store area is about 11 tsubos. There are 10 seats. We opened a store at the "SOUP RIDERS" site, which closed in October 2018. “It was just the right size to do it alone,” says Nakamura. The interior of the store is based on white, creating a retro atmosphere. Mr. Nakamura smiles, "I'm quiet like Kuroko, so each customer can enjoy our time and space."

For coffee, we use coffee beans from "PINO Coffee Roaster" (Tokoji Temple, Inakadate Village) and stick to the hand drip. The menu includes "chocolapino" and mandolin (450 yen or more), cafe au lait, Wiener coffee (500 yen or more). Sweets menus such as various teas (500 yen), hot cocoa (500 yen), apple juice (300 yen), custard pudding (350 yen), rare cheesecake (450 yen) will be prepared.

Nakamura says that it's been two weeks since the store opened, and I'm happy to hear people say, “It's delicious” or “I'll come again”. "It's a lot of work, but I'm really happy that I opened the store. I'm not aiming to be a coffee specialty store, so I'm planning to increase the number of menus other than coffee, but I'm currently offering one menu. I would like to put out each one carefully."
