Hirosaki Izakaya "Nankoku Shokudo Shan2" will hold "13th Anniversary Event" at "Eat & talk" (Watoku Town, Hirosaki City) on December 8th.

The shop owner Hajime Kato opened on December 2, 2005 and serves mainly creative dishes. “The number of dishes that we have prototyped at the request of customers is increasing rapidly as a repertoire,” says Kato. The restaurant name is the name of the izakaya restaurant that was the last to work in Tokyo, and he said that he used to work part-time during his school days.

After graduating from Hirosaki's high school, Kato moved to Tokyo and went on to apparel technical school. After graduating, he got a job in the apparel industry, but said he was planning to move to Okinawa, and quit his job to prepare for moving. "I couldn't help but oppose my family, so I decided to return to Hirosaki," Kato said.

The store started with the idea that “there are no fun things to wait for,” and for 13 years, it also hosted music events and opened new events. “I wanted to have fun with myself and the people around me,” he says. "I was planning to move to Okinawa in 5 years, but when I realized it, it was 13 years. It continued well."

Signs and illustrations of artists who have visited the store and invited bandmen are drawn on the wall inside the store. “A lot of people come to know me when I quit the apparel era and the connections between my playmates at the time,” says Kato. There are also illustrations by Yoshitomo Nara, a contemporary artist from Hirosaki.

On the day of the event, we invite the reggae band "Kofu & Green Massive" to the main guests. Mr. Kato himself will participate as a DJ, and the son of a junior high school student will make his debut as a DJ for the first time. It has been three years since the 10th anniversary of the anniversary event. "We want to make an event where we can have a toast with everyone," he said.
